Fighter jet makes emergency landing at A.C. airport

POMONA, N.J. - March 4, 2010

Officials tell Action News the pilot reported the plane was leaking fuel, and managed to safely land the aircraft at the airport.

The incident caused an interruption of service because the fighter came to rest at the intersection of two runways.

Airport officials say that at least three flights were diverted to other northeast airports during the incident.

The F-16 was inspected by military mechanics and was moved from the runways.

No injuries have been reported.

The F-16 is from the New Jersey Air National Guard's 177th Fighter Wing.
