Crews were called out to Society Hill Condominiums Building 14 around 3:00 a.m. where they found fire shooting from one of the units on the second floor of the three story building.
Firefighters worked to remove three people from a third floor unit that were unable to escape on their own.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Firefighters from several Atlantic County departments assisted in fighting the blaze and brought the fire under control in approximately one hour.
So far there is no word yet on what sparked the blaze.
