Reports: SKorean Internet addicts let baby starve

SEOUL, South Korea - March 7, 2010

The reports quote police as saying the couple spent four to six hours every day at Internet cafes and bottle-fed their baby only once a day.

The Yonhap news agency says the couple found their 3-month-old baby dead in September when they returned home after playing online games at an Internet cafe all night. A police autopsy reportedly found the baby died because of a long period of malnutrition.

The reports say the two, who met each other through an Internet chat site, were arrested this week. They were reportedly obsessed with a role-playing game called "Prius Online" in which they nurtured a virtual girl dubbed "Anima."
