Police are investigating the theft of a rare bunny that was taken from an enclosure in Delaware.

Police responded to the home Monday in Lindamere. A 62-year-old man told investigators someone cut a hole in the vinyl fence housing his two European Lion Head Rabbits.

A black and white rabbit named Elly was taken. The owner says clumps of fur were left behind, showing the rabbit put up a fight.

The second bunny also was believed to have been stolen. But the black rabbit named Izzy emerged from hiding in a hole in the ground.
