One hit, killed by train in Mercer Co.

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. - March 11, 2010

It happened at the station in the 800 block of Sloan Avenue in Hamilton Township shortly before 11:00 a.m.

The train, the Keystone 642, was on its way to New York City when the person was hit.

None of the 251 passengers on board were hurt.

It is unknown why the person who was hit was on the track. Amtrak officials say the person was trespassing when struck.

There were minor delays as passengers were transferred to another train.
