Fallen trees cause problems in Pa.

VILLANOVA, Pa. - March 15, 2010

Most, but not all.

Wood chippers echoed on the 600 block of Fairview Road in Penn Valley on Monday morning.

Crews with John Ward and Company were busy removing this fallen pine off a home.

A soggy ground coupled with near hurricane winds this weekend toppled it over.

"People should seek out a certified arborist to inspect their trees to see if they're safe. Corrective pruning, cabling goes a long way to avoid storm damage," said Matt Ward.

On the unit block of Browns Lane in Villanova, a similar scene minus the bustling crews.

One house has been deemed unlivable after a massive tree tore into the roof.

But by and large, the damage has been minimal in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
