Studies probe dust around Claymont Steel plant

CLAYMONT, Del. (AP) - March 23, 2010

But the studies on the dust are not expected to be completed until September.

Claymont Steel has released a Dust Management Action list detailing 32 steps they are taking to help reduce dust emissions.

Claymont Steel's Environmental Manager Tom Wesolowski says they have enforced many rules for trucks and cars leaving the compound like strict speed limits and mandatory car cleaning. They have also paved roads, made improvements to buildings and equipment, and are building a 20-foot high wall along Naamans Road to help contain the dust.
