It happened around 8:30 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Frankford and Lehigh avenues.
Police say the man, who has not yet been identified, walked into traffic and was hit.
He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The driver stopped at the scene after the crash. No charges have been filed.
