Reviews for Apple iPad

April 1, 2010

David Pogue at the New York Times says while it's basically a huge iPod Touch, making the screen bigger "changes the whole experience."

You can see your email inbox and open message at the same time. Maps are as big as paper ones. Driving simulators and video games are more realistic. And when using the e-reader app, just tap on a word and you'll get a dictionary definition! Plus, if you have the cellular model which will be available next month, you can get unlimited AT&T cellular internet service one month at a time for just $30! No contract required!

Also, reviewers say the battery allows you to use the iPad continuously for more than 12 hours; that's four times as long as a typical laptop or portable DVD player.

Plus, the Wall Street Journal reports ABC, our parent company, and CBS are planning to adapt episodes of TV shows for the iPad to be viewable for free.
