It happened around 2:00pm in front of a barbershop on the 1700 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway.
Officers were responding to a call of a person with a gun. When they arrived on the scene, police say the suspect fled on foot.
Police gave chase and, at one point, the suspect turned around and pointed a gun at the officers.
It was at that point that one of the officers fired, but missed the suspect.
However, they were able to arrest that man, who has not yet been identified.
There were no injuries to police.
One weapon was recovered.
