Driver injured after crashing into Berwyn building

BERWYN, Pa. - April 7, 2010

Easttown Township police tell Action News that this morning at 5:50 a 28-year-old man lost control and drove into the side of the William Fritz Lumber Yard, located on Route 30 at the intersection of Woodside Avenue.

The driver had to be cut out of the car by rescuers. He was flown to The Hospital of the University Pennsylvania where he is listed in critical condition.

A building inspector was called out to the building to check its strength. It is used for storage of lumber.

There is no word on what caused the man to lose control. A toxicology report is pending.
