When we first reported on the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store, we received lots of calls from Do-It-Yourselfers. So, now that's it's Spring fix-up season, we decided to check back into the Chalfont store to see what was new.

The Re-Store is about to open an outdoor area, where you'll find deals like outdoor furniture sets for $100, ready-to-install windows for $10, and 6-foot lengths of pipe for about $5 each.

"On the outside here, we're going to have anything that is weather-resistant," explains store-manager Dianna Curran. "And it will be open to the public on Saturdays only."

The rest of the Chalfont Re-Store in Chalfont is open Wednesdays through Saturdays and features donated items including construction supplies, furniture and household goods.

The best deal going right now is the 75% off paint sale -- where you can pick up gallons for $1.25, quarts for $.75, and pints for a quarter.

We also found a table and chair set for $125, glasses for a nickel, and light fixtures priced from $6.00 to $26.00.

And not only are your purchases here a good deal, by buying here, shoppers keep items out of landfills and also help raise money for Habitat for Humanity, a worthy cause.

"All the money that is made by the Re-Store stays right here in Bucks County," Curran says. "And we build homes with it for low-income families."

The store is located at 31 Oak Avenue, Suite 100, in Chalfont, Pa. The phone number is 215-822-2812.
