This incident began around 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Police were informed that a man may have been doused in chemicals by his brother. The brother was said to have been held up in his home with a gun.
SWAT teams and a decontamination site were called to the home on Juniper Street.
Neighboring homes were evacuated as a precaution.
Witnesses say the man was seen crawling out of his home. Authorities took the man to St. Luke's Hospital.
A short while later, the man confessed he made the story up. Police say it appears he was under the influence of drugs at the time.
Police tell Action News the man's brother is said to have not even been home at the time of the incident.
I'ts not clear what, if any, charges the man will face.
