3 adults, 6 children displaced by S. Philly fire

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - April 12, 2010

The fire broke out on the 2300 block of South 25th Street in South Philadelphia shortly after 2:00 this morning.

The fire originated on the third floor of the home. Fire crews were able to get the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

Three adults and six children escaped, and will be staying with neighbors for the time being. The Red Cross is assisting the family.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
