A car overturned around 6:20 a.m. in the 1600 block of Twining Road.
One person was immediately taken to Abington Memorial Hospital.
However, rescue workers had to work for about 45 minutes to free a second person who was trapped in the vehicle. That person was taken by medical helicopter to an area hospital.
There is no word on their conditions.
Twining Road was closed between Ayr Street and Dale Street as crews worked to clear the scene.
