Trucks carrying WTC steel rolling again after crash

PHILADELPHIA - April 14, 2010

A caravan of 28 flatbed trucks is expected to arrive in Coatesville on Thursday at around 2 p.m. Fire companies from the Coatesville area and New York City are waiting for them to arrive.

Officials hope to use the supports as the centerpiece of an industrial history museum.

The 10 pieces arriving in Coatesville made up the first nine floors of the north tower, one of the two World Trade Center skyscrapers destroyed in the Sept. 11 attacks.

Two of the 28 flatbeds were involved in a minor accident on the way from New York. Transit officials said one truck apparently rear-ended another, but no one was hurt.
