Bangor Area School District Superintendent John Reinhart says officials are looking into the allegations against 29-year-old former assistant wrestling coach Brad Washburn.
Police charged Washburn on Wednesday with drug possession. They say those charges stem from the investigation into a heroin overdose that killed 24-year-old biology teacher Gina Lyn Riso at Washburn's apartment in December. Authorities ruled Riso's death accidental.
Defense attorney Mark Sigmon says he's unaware of any investigation into his client's time at the school. He says Washburn completed an inpatient drug rehab program following Riso's death.
