Clothing savings in a suprising place

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., - May 14, 2010

"We can dress a family of four for under $100, whether it be dressy or casual," explains BJ's Robin Dupes. "It's a great place to come to shop." Dupes dressed a family of models in head-to-toe BJ;'s from some familiar names to prove her point.

Devon, a toddler girl, modeled a two-piece capri set from Nicole Miller, with a suggested retail price of $38. At B-J's it sells for $12.99.

"These are the same clothes that you'd see at other stores," Dupes says. "We have kids' wear, we have Calvin Klein, we have Wes and Willy, we carry Carter's. We carry many, many different styles, different brands."

The model Mom wore a Liz Claiborne short-sleeve top with chiffon trim, paired with black capri pants.

"Probably the savings on that outfit alone is about $70 from traditional retail," Dupes said.

The Dad model wore Calvin Klein jeans that retail for close to $50, but are BJ's priced at $22.99, along with an Izod polo shirt.

"We sell that here for $14.99 to $16.99, depending on the pattern and the color," Dupes says. "But elsewhere, the manufacturer's suggested retail price is about $50."

Ethan, a little boy, wore a shorts set from Wes and Willy with an MSRP of $39. At Bj's it's $12.99.

Dupes sums up the clothing offerings by saying, "You can save a lot of money here."
