Firefighters in the Chicago suburb of Naperville were dispatched to the Sunrise nursing home next door to rescue a small dog.
The pooch had gotten wedged in its owner's mechanized recliner.
Firefighter and paramedic Scott Bolda says when they arrived, a nurse's aide was hanging onto the chair.
The aide was trying to relieve pressure on the dog and allow it to breathe.
Firefighters had to use a saw to cut the chair apart.
But the resident's little buddy seems to have come through the ordeal just fine.
Bolda says they've never had a rescue quite like that before.
