A 4-foot bull snake slithered into a children's birthday party in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

At first the adults thought it might be a rattlesnake.

The big snake crawled out from under a desk and was discovered by the family dog.

The grown-ups captured it and put it in a container.

Animal Control Officer DeAnn Nelson confirmed it was a non-venomous bull snake.

The kids were allowed to touch it before the snake was taken away.

Animal control officials say it's going to be released in the country.
