Autopsy: Baby found near NJ river drowned

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (AP) - April 27, 2010

Authorities are awaiting DNA tests to confirm the body is a 3-month-old girl whose father is accused of throwing the child off the Driscoll Bridge into the Raritan River more than two months ago.

State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones says officials believe the body is /*Zara Malani-Lin Abdur-Raheem*/ because of clothing that was found with the infant on Saturday.

Prosecutors believe /*Shamsid-Din Abdur-Raheem*/ killed his daughter hours after taking her from her grandmother's apartment in East Orange on Feb. 16.

The 21-year-old Galloway Township resident has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges.
