FBI & State Police raid Newark, Del. home

WILMINGTON, Del. - April 27, 2010

A law enforcement source tells Action News that the raid was a part of a piracy investigation and it is not the first time that the resident of the home has been accused of counterfeiting goods.

FBI agents along with State Police carried away computers and boxes of potential evidence. It was all part of a morning raid at 128 Blue Ridge Circle - the home of Jamie Snyder.

Neighbor Pat Marzouca said, "When I woke up I wasn't surprised to see a long line of law enforcement vehicles outside."

Neighbors say there has often been odd activity at the house. Large bags of trash were always out front and Snyder installed security cameras about a year ago, despite it being a rental townhome.

"A lot of stuff gets delivered to her house," said Marzouca. "I don't know what it's for."

Last year software giant Microsoft sued Snyder and her company, Cheapestsoftwareanywhere.com for copyright infringement. It pertained to Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007 applications. A judge awarded Microsoft a $500-thousand judgment.

Snyder also owns Delaware Elite All Stars Inc., a cheerleading and dance company in New Castle.

Action News exchange text messages with someone claiming to be Snyder. She denied any wrongdoing. Snyder has not been indicted at last check.
