2nd man gets life in Pa. home invasion death

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - April 27, 2010

Twenty-six-year-old Amatadi Latham, of Philadelphia, was sentenced Tuesday to life plus 32 to 64 years in prison for the January 2009 death of Robert Chae.

Prosecutors say robbers entered Chae's North Wales home and bound him with duct tape in his garage. He suffocated while the assailants forced his wife to open a safe.

Latham and co-defendant Joseph Page were convicted in January. Chae's nephew, Angelo Shin, admitted he helped plan the robbery and pleaded guilty. He and two others await sentencing for third-degree murder.

One other suspect is awaiting trial, a seventh defendant was acquitted.

Latham's attorney, Cary McClain, says he plans to appeal.
