Officials say 60-year-old Carolyn Levan and her sister, 57-year-old Charlene Levan, of Pottstown, were found dead of gunshot wounds to the head Tuesday at the Hillside Motel in Douglasville.
The Berks County coroner's office has ruled their deaths homicides.
Authorities say Carolyn Levan lived at the motel and worked there as a housekeeper, and said that Charlene Levan worked there as well.
Police have released few details about the investigation. Amity Township police Chief Kent Shuebrook says investigators have no suspects.
