Police: Man shot as car waited at red light

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - May 4, 2010

Police say the 25-year-old man from Pottstown, Pa., was in the passenger seat of a friend's car stopped at the intersection of Adams and Ninth streets when he was shot and critically wounded Monday night.

Master Sgt. Steven Barnes says multiple shots were fired into the rear window and trunk lid of the car. The driver, who was not injured, drove his friend to a local hospital.

Barnes says detectives are still investigating and there is no suspect description.
