It was all part of the media preview of "The Richie Ashburn Memorial Home Runs for Heart" event.
From our team, Jamie Apody was first up to bat, taking swings to raise awareness about heart disease. It's all in memory of the late Richie Ashburn and Harry Kalas.
The event was a prelude to a fundraiser where everyday baseball fans can take their stance on the plate and try to hit it out of the park.
Events like Home Runs for Heart helps adults and kids, like 8-year-old Cooper Adams, who is an aspiring sports announcer.
His father says Cooper was born with a congenital heart defect, and has had three heart surgeries. The first when he was just 3 days old.
However, thanks to advances in modern medicine, Cooper's dad says he's doing great right now.
The Richie Ashburn Memorial Home Runs for Heart event is set for May 26th and 27th.
