Man critical after carjacking, assault

ALBAN PARK, Del. - May 8, 2010

A 24-year-old male victim is currently in critical condition at the Christiana Hospital with a significant head injury.

At 10:44 a.m. Saturday, County Police and Paramedics responded to a home in the 500 block of Homestead Road in the Alban Park community for a report of a carjacking that just occurred.

When emergency personnel arrived, they located the victim bleeding from a severe injury to his head. He was able to tell the officers he was outside washing his car when he was approached by two young men who engaged him in conversation.

Without warning, the suspects attacked the victim before stealing his wallet and car.

The vehicle is described as a green Eddie Bauer edition 2000 Ford Expedition that should display a Delaware tag PC 404818.

The victim was transported to the Christiana Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.
