Parents hit by vehicle outside school

NORTHFIELD, N.J. - May 11, 2010

It happened around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday outside the Northfield Community School at Route 9 and Cedar Bridge.

Investigators say two parents, a boyfriend and a girlfriend, were walking their children to school when they were hit.

The woman suffered minor injuries. The man suffered upper and lower leg fractures. The children were not hurt.

The driver stopped at the scene and will be ticketed for careless driving and failure to stop for pedestrians.
