Dwyane Wade: Judge orders estranged wife taken into custody

CHICAGO (AP) - May 11, 2010

The judge has ordered sheriff's deputies to take Siohvaughn Wade into custody - after she failed to show up for a hearing yesterday.

Once she's taken in, she will have to post $10,000 bond to win her freedom back.

Cook County Circuit Judge Marya Nega says she is tired of what she calls a pattern of ignoring court demands during the divorce proceeding. The judge says she's thinking about turning custody of the couple's two kids over to the NBA star.

Last week, Siohvaughn Wade filed suit claiming that the ballplayer's relationship with actress Gabrielle Union was causing the couple's sons emotional distress.

She claimed, among other things, that the couple "engaged in sexual foreplay" in front of the boys.
