Masked gunmen rob South Philly Wawa

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - May 12, 2010

At approximately 1:35 a.m. the men entered the convenience store, located on the 1600 block of S. Columbus Boulevard.

The first man pulled out a handgun and told the clerk to open the register. The gunman shot one round in the direction of the clerk but didn't hit him. The second suspect then took the cash from the now open register.

Both men then made their way to the front of the store. The gunman who shot the first shot then fired another shot in the air by the front entry of the store.

They fled on foot south on Columbus Boulevard.

Both had their heads and face covered, but are described as follows:

The first suspect is 20 to 25-years-old, 5'10 to 6", 200 pounds wearing a black hoodie and black pants and a blue bandana covering his face. He was armed with a black handgun.

The second suspect is 20 to 25-years-old, 5'5", 120 pounds wearing a red and black Rockawear hooded sweatshirt with a white bandana covering his face with blue jeans and tan Timberland boots.

No one was injured in the incident. Police are investigating.
