Shot fired during Montco bank robbery

WHITPAIN TWP., Pa. - May 13, 2010

It happened around 10:25 a.m. at the Citizens Bank at 48 W. Skippack Pike in the Broad Axe section of Whitpain Township.

Investigators say the suspect came into the bank with a gun and demanded money. As he left, a dye pack exploded and the robber dropped the bag.

At one point, police say, the man fired a shot. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a white man about six feet tall. He was wearing a yellow rain jacket and panty hose over his face.
