Chester County bank robbery suspect flees

HONEY BROOK, Pa. - May 15, 2010

Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police responded to an attempted bank robbery at the M & T Bank at 4711 Horseshoe Pike in Honey Brook Borough, Chester County.

Police say the suspect walked into the bank and stood in the lobby area for several minutes. Once other customers exited the bank, the suspect approached the teller area. The suspect then placed a grocery style plastic bag on the counter and told the teller to fill the bag with $100 bills.

The teller did not comply with the suspect demand.

The suspect then walked out of the bank with the bag. The suspect did not display a weapon or a note.

The suspect was seen arriving in and leaving in an older model (late 80's - 90's) car which resembled a Honda Accord/Toyota Corolla body style.

The suspect left the area in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white male, pale with clear complexion, in his mid 20's to early 30's, approximately 5'8", with a stocky build, approximately 200 to 230 pounds. He was wearing a green jacket, dark colored pants, and a dark brown cap with a small bill and ear flaps
