Man rescued from trash chute in Brewerytown

BREWERYTOWN - May 16, 2010

It happened at an apartment building in the 2300 block of Bolton Way in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia.

Police arrived to find the man stuck in the chute on the 6th floor.

Fire crews secured him, cut into the chute on the 2nd floor, and lowered him down.

The whole operation took about 90 minutes, and the man was suspended upside down for most of it.

There's no word yet on how he got stuck in the chute.
