West Oak Lane Jazz Festival kicks off today

PHILADELPHIA - June 18, 2010

Mayor Michael Nutter and his wife Lisa will kick things off with a parade at noon. It begins on the 7200 block of Ogontz Avenue.

Al Jarreau is among the two dozen performers taking the stage this weekend. The seven-time Grammy winner performs on Sunday with the George Duke trio.

He is the only artist ever to win Grammys in Jazz, Pop, and R&B.

Performances were part of an event back in May that detailed what music lovers can expect this year at the festival, which runs June 18th through the 20th.

David Sanborn and Joey DeFrancesco are performing together.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be headlining, as well.

You can get a look at the entire lineup at the West Oak Lane Jazz and Arts Festival website.
