Phila. police called to pair of shootings

PHILADELPHIA - May 20, 2010

The first shooting happened in South Philadelphia at about 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of 27th & Wolf streets. Investigators tell Action News the unidentified man, a 34-year-old, was shot in the chest. Medics rushed the victim to the hospital in critical condition. The search for suspects and a motive continues.

About 30 minutes later, a 21-year-old man was shot several times near a baseball field between Chew & Olney avenues in Philadelphia's Logan section. Police say they are looking for 4 males who ran from the scene. The victim, who was in critical condition, was also cut to the leg.
