Police say on Friday, it was determined during a meeting at a home on the 1500 block of Arch Street that 3-year-old Marqui Robinson and his 5-year-old sister Iriane should be surrendered to their uncle.
When that meeting ended, the mother, Samira, refused to surrender the children stating she would surrender the kids over her dead body.
Police later responded to Samira's home located on the 1300 block of South Taylor Street in South Philadelphia, but she claimed she did not know the whereabouts of the children.
Police say Samira had to surrender the children because she is in violation of custody orders in both Pennsylvania and Georgia.
South Detectives tells Action News Samira is in police custody and is charged with two felonies in connection with taking her children from their legal guardian, their aunt and uncle.
