Mrs. Fixit: Haul It

July 3, 2010

Keep a vinyl tablecloth in your car. You can lay it out when you need to load up some plants or potting soil. It will protect the carpet from dirt spills as well as moisture that may seep through the plants.

When you're done it will clean easily and fold up and out of the way.

A roll of plastic wrap can be stretched around lumber or pipes to keep them bundled. That way they won't slip and slide around and they'll be easier to unload when you get home.

You should also keep a roll of florescent tape with you so if the items that you're hauling are too long for the car you can flag the end so other drivers can see it and don't run into you.

A length of pipe insulation over your door will protect your cargo as well as your car.

Bungee cords can help tie down and corral everything from sports equipment to groceries and keep it from moving around if you have to stop quickly.

Just a few easy ideas to help you haul everything that you need to in your hard working vehicle! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
