Police corral angry gator in North Phila.

Authorities removed an alligator and at least 2 rattle snakes from a home in North Philadelphia Thursday morning.

Police are rounding up some poisonous reptiles and dangerous animals in North Philadelphia.

Officers with the gun violence task force were serving a warrant at a home along the 1000 block of West Nevada Street early Thursday.

Animal control was called to the scene around 6:30 a.m. Thursday. They recovered one 3-foot alligator and three snakes. Two of the snakes were rattlesnakes and one was a gaboon viper - all are poisonous and illegal to have in the city.

The homeowner is being questioned by police.
