The mayors of cities in the playoffs often wager some of their city's wares, so the Action News Mornings team is placing a similar bet with the morning team at our sister station, WLS-TV in Chicago.
Action News previewed the Philly end of the bet Thursday. The morning team, featuring Matt O'Donnell, Tamala Edwards, David Murphy and Karen Rogers, is offering up some Philly cheesesteaks from Jim's Steaks at 4th and South streets and some traditional Philadelphia soft pretzels.
On the other end?
Members of the news team in Chicago, Hosea Sanders, Judy Hsu, Tracy Butler and Roz Varon are offering up Lou Malnati's deep-dish pizza, Garrett's popcorn and Chicago-style hotdogs. And they have warned us no ketchup allowed.
"We have the best food, but we also have the better team, so go, 'Hawks!" said Butler, ABC7's meteorologist.
