It happened around 1:39 p.m. at TruMark Financial in the 1800 block of JFK.
When officers arrived, they were told a man came into the bank and demanded cash from the teller.
The suspect is described as a black man who stood about 5'8" to 5'10" tall, in his late 40s to early 50s with a medium build, medium complexion, mustache and salt-and-pepper beard.
He was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a dark windbreaker, dark pants and white sneakers. He was also carrying a blue and white bag.
