Eight killer whales put on quite a show for a charter cruise off the Southern California coast.
The orcas were playing and eating in front of the passengers.
Capt. Dave Anderson, of Capt. Dave's Dolphin & Whale Safari, says it's the first time in two years he's seen orcas near Orange County.
A video shows the close whale encounter.
Anderson says one of the whales stared into the window of the boat's underwater viewing pod.
Anderson adds it looks like the adult orcas were teaching a calf to feed.
