Hospital: Coleman's partner had medical authority

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - June 3, 2010

Coleman died from a brain hemorrhage Friday.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said Thursday that Shannon Price was named in an advanced health care directive that allowed her to make health care decision

s for Coleman.

Price and Coleman wed in August 2007 after meeting on the set of the 2006 comedy "Church Ball." Coleman's attorney, Randy Kester, says Price and Coleman divorced in August 2008. It's not clear if they ever remarried.

Coleman starred for eight seasons on "Diff'rent Strokes," starting in 1978.

In a 911 call from two days before Coleman died, Price refers to Coleman as her husband.
