2 NJ lifeguards arrested on pot-related charges

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - June 6, 2010

Sgt. Monica McMenamin told the Press of Atlantic City that police charged brothers Malcolm and Adrian M. Johnson, of Pleasantville, with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless driving after Malcolm Johnson ran a red light.

The traffic stop took place Saturday morning, about an hour before 23-year-old Malcolm Johnson was due to start his guard duties. Twenty-one-year-old Adrian Johnson had not yet been activated for the summer.

Emergency Management Coordinator Tom Foley says the men have been suspended without pay pending a result in the case.
