Sketch released in sex assault in Del. park

WILMINGTON - June 10, 2010

Around 6:00 a.m. Sunday police were called to the 600 block of South Franklin Street where they found a 20-year-old woman who said she was attacked in Kusciusko Park.

The victim told police she was walking in the area to a friend's house when a man approached her from behind. She said she began to run, and the man chased her into Kusciusko Park, knocked her to the ground, punched her in the face, then sexually assaulted her.

The victim said she was able to get away by biting the suspect on the forearm. The attacker then fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Black or Hispanic male, approximately 5'2" to 5'3" with a muscular build and short curly hair.
