Vigil held for 3 victims killed in domestic dispute

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. - June 7, 2010 On Monday a vigil was held to grieve for the victims and to support each other in that grief.

There were tears, prayers and even laughter. Family, friends, classmates and neighbors united in their grief and disbelief.

"It's just a sad that's my best, one of my greatest friends, somebody I can trust," said Allen Ragland.

44-year-old Tracy Coleman, her 15-year-old son, Reggie and her 39-year-old brother Ronald were all shot to death in her condo Sunday night, the only survivor, was her three year old son.

Coleman's live-in boyfriend, the father of the toddler, went on a rampage less than an hour after Coleman filed a domestic abuse complaint against him.

36-year-old Sharif Whitlock was later found hanging from an electrical tower 30 miles away, a suicide.

For those left behind it's hard to comprehend, especially the execution of 15-year-old Reggie, found shot in the head on his bedroom floor.

"That was useless and cowardly because to kill a kid what can you get out of that," said family friend Donna Miller.

Reggie's friends remember a happy-go-lucky kid. Just recently he joined a local dance troop. His teammates paid a special tribute at the vigil.

Reggie Coleman was a freshman at Oak Crest High School. His friends' say he was such a bright presence, it's hard to believe he's gone.

"It's very sad and I still I don't believe it at all, I still don't believe it and standing here it's just weird because it's for him and I still think he's still around somewhere," said Khadijah Evans.

Those left behind were together, clinging to each other, sharing an unspeakable loss.
