The accident happened around 7:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 2700 block of Island Avenue.
A school bus collided with the rear of another school bus. No word yet on what caused the accident.
The injured students, from Pepper Middle School, were taken to the hospital with what are described as bumps and bruises.
The school district tells Action News that one bus had 12 students in it and the other had 37 when they collided.
Both drivers are also at the hospital with minor injuries.
