If you haven't planted your flower or vegetable garden yet, your procrastination could pay off. You can take advantage of the annual 50% off sale at Bertuzzi's Market in Milmay, New Jersey.

Bertuzzi's Market doesn't advertise its annual spring sale, but people who drive by the Tuckahoe Road farm stand know that once the sale signs go up -- as they are this week -- it's time to rush in grab the deals.

"Oh, we get mobbed pretty good," says Bertuzzi's Owner Joe Jacobs. "We get a lot of people in here."

And it's no wonder, once you see the deals. Enormous hanging baskets -- already a good deal at the regular price of $20 -- are on sale for $10.

Geraniums are half-price at four for $6.50.

A six-pack of petunias is on sale for $4. Flats of annuals, like lobelia and potulacas are just $6.50. And Marguerite daisies are just $3 each.

Joe and Carolyn Jacobs -- the second generation to own Bertuzzi's -- begin growing all of the flowers, plants and produce from seeds and plugs back in February or March.

That's why they're so big and hearty now.

"They're ready to go," Carolyn Jacobs says. "Put 'em in the ground and they'll flourish."

The half-price sale will continue until the stock is gone. And the payoff for bargain-happy gardeners will last much longer than that.

"Annuals, if taken care of properly, you'll have them from now until frost." Carolyn Jacobs says.

Bertuzzi's is located at 831 Tuckahoe Road in Milmay, New Jersey, 08340. The phone number is 856-691-6779. It's about an hour from Center City Philadelphia, and 30-45 minutes from shore points.
