Police: Man found stabbed in Philly subway station

A man is hospitalized after being stabbed several times while traveling on the SEPTA Broad Street Line subway.

Police say they have a suspect in custody after a man was found stabbed in a subway station in South Philadelphia.

Police say the 47-year-old victim was found at the Oregon Avenue station of the Broad Street subway line around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Service was disrupted for about four hours while police investigated.

Philadelphia police say they later found the suspect seeking treatment at a hospital for cuts to his face.

They say he had a pair of scissors on him and admitted to using them to stab the victim during an argument.

The victim is hospitalized with wounds to his arm, shoulder, torso and face.
