At around 8:20 p.m., Philadelphia Police were notified that a man who matched the description of the suspect was located at Broad and Moravian streets. He was taken into custody.
The suspect was wanted in an alleged rape of a 20-year-old woman.
According to police, the man grabbed the 20-year-old victim about 2:30 a.m. as the woman walked near 25th and Locust streets. She was taken under a railroad overpass and raped. The victim then ran home and her parents called police.
Police continue to investigate.
