Woman freed from car on Platt Bridge

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - June 19, 2010

The accident happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of the bridge heading towards South Philadelphia.

A truck and a car collided. The car became wedged between the truck and a guard rail.

A 57-year-old woman in the car had to be freed from the wreckage.

She was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
